But if your UTI has symptoms then they will be something like these:

  • Sudden feeling to urinate
  • Feeling pain and burn when you urinate
  • The urine is cloudy or it smells really bad
  • Blood in the urine
  • Pain in the area of pubic bone

How to prevent UTI

Even though there is no strong evidence that proof UTI can be prevented but you can do these habits in order to minimize the risk of getting UTI in your life, especially during pregnancy.

Keeping your hygiene in good level is really important. After you get urinate, you should wipe it from the front to the back and not the reverse. It will not let the bacteria spread to the tract system.

Drinking plenty of water will help your body in clearing the bacteria and germs in your body, especially the urethra and bladder. One-litter water per day will be good for your health.

It is also advisable to immediately urinate before and after sexual intercourse. Genital bacteria that can cause the infection will be flushed out.
Managing healthy diet will also minimize the chance on getting the infection. Reduce or avoid caffeine and chocolate will less irritate the bladder. And you will have less risk on experiencing UTI during pregnancy.
